Withered Peak is said to be the last remaining monument of a Dwarven/Human alliance.
During the time of the Great Goblin Invasions, this mountainous area was rife with goblin camps and strongholds. The devastating reigns of the goblins eventually resulted in the Battle of the Twin Banners, which saw a victory for the Dwarven/Human alliance. They went on to decimate the entire region; all trees were cut down and every pocket of goblin existence was eradicated.
To this day, Withered Peak remains a barren plain, referred to as Goblin's Bane by the bordering goblin communities.
