Those of the Left-hand Path frequent this area. It is not uncommon to find makeshift mixing huts, some of which are said to be built over ancient marker stones. In this particular witches hut, the trap door reveals a way down below to where one of these markers once laid.
Many myths and rumours speculate about what these markers reveal. Some state that these are the markers of old withered hot springs, while others state that these are the sites of dark sacrifice.
